Welcome to RateWDW. By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use RateWDW.
1. About RateWDW
RateWDW is an independent community platform where users can rate, compare, and discuss Walt Disney World attractions, dining, and related experiences. RateWDW is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Walt Disney Company or any of its subsidiaries.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use RateWDW. If you are under 18, you may use the service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe have been compromised.
4. User Content
You retain ownership of ratings, comments, display names, profile information, and other content you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant RateWDW a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the service.
You agree that your User Content will not:
- Infringe any third-party rights, including copyright or trademark
- Contain unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or obscene material
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
- Include spam, malware, or deceptive content
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
We may remove or restrict User Content that violates these terms or that we believe is harmful to the community or the service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or related systems
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data except as allowed by public features or written permission
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or other users
- Use the service to send unsolicited commercial messages
- Manipulate ratings, challenges, or rankings through bots, multiple accounts, or other artificial means
- Use RateWDW for any unlawful purpose
6. Intellectual Property
The RateWDW name, logo, site design, software, and original content (excluding User Content and third-party materials) are owned by RateWDW or its licensors. Walt Disney World names, characters, attractions, and related marks are trademarks of The Walt Disney Company and its affiliates and are used here only for identification and commentary.
7. Third-Party Services
RateWDW may integrate authentication providers, analytics, advertising, hosting, and other third-party services. Your use of those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party sites or services.
8. Disclaimers
RateWDW is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Ratings and recommendations reflect user opinions and may be incomplete or inaccurate. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
Information on RateWDW is for entertainment and informational purposes only and is not official Walt Disney World guidance.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, RateWDW and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of one hundred U.S. dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us (if any) in the twelve months before the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RateWDW and its operators from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using RateWDW at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the service, with or without notice, if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of RateWDW after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the service.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in Florida will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms or the service, except where prohibited by law.
